Geralyn Dexter, Ph.D., LMHC (she/her), is a licensed mental health counselor, writer, researcher, and psychology faculty member at Southern New Hampshire University. She received a Ph.D. in Psychology from Northcentral University, a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Florida. Dr. Dexter has over a decade of clinical and editorial experience. She’s practiced in intensive outpatient, community-based settings, private practice. Her research interests include suicidal ideation, behavior, and non-suicidal self-injury.
